2. Information, purposes and legal bases
Emails about events and meetups
When you sign up, we record your name, email address, the consent wording you accepted and the time of consent. The system also stores a random unsubscribe code, the registration time and any unsubscribe time.
The purpose is to manage your subscription and provide information about events and meetups for entrepreneurs in Trøndelag. The legal basis is consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. Signing up is optional and is not required for Facebook group membership. Your information is not used to sign you up for other email lists.
Submitted events
We record the title, time, venue and town or whether the event is online, organiser, description and any link. We also record the contact person’s name and email address, the submission time and review status.
We use this information to assess the event, contact the submitter if needed and publish relevant event information. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in maintaining a relevant and reliable event directory, under Article 6(1)(f).
An approved event’s title, time, venue, organiser, description and link become public. The contact person’s name and email from the contact fields are not published. Please do not include private contact details or other non-public information in the description.
Resource suggestions
When you suggest a resource, we record the name of the resource or organisation, the link, any municipality or place and category, and the description. We also record the contact person’s name and email address, the submission time and review status.
We use this information to assess the suggestion, contact the submitter if needed and possibly add the resource to the resource directory. What is added to the directory is information about the resource: name, location, a short description and link. The contact person’s name and email are used to follow up the suggestion. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the resource directory relevant and up to date, under Article 6(1)(f).
Submitted founder offers
When you submit an offer, we record the name of the offer, the provider, municipality or place, who the offer is for, what it includes, price and discount, any expiry date, link and the contact details you provide for publication. We also record the contact person’s name and email address, the submission time and review status.
We use this information to assess the offer, contact the submitter if needed and publish approved offers on the offers page until the expiry date. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in sharing relevant offers with entrepreneurs and small business owners, under Article 6(1)(f).
An approved offer becomes public with its name, provider, location, target group, content, price, validity, link and the contact details you provided for publication. The contact person’s name and email from the contact fields are used to follow up the submission. We recommend using the business contact details in the field for publication.
Contact and interest in joining the team
When you email us, we process your email address, your name if provided, your message and any information you choose to share about your location, experience and how you would like to contribute. We use this to respond, follow up and discuss a possible role with you.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in handling enquiries and organising the community, under Article 6(1)(f). An expression of interest does not result in your information being published. Any introduction of you as a contact person or moderator is agreed separately.
The “I would like to contribute” button opens your own email app. Nothing is sent until you choose to send the email. Do not send national identity numbers, health information or other sensitive information.
Technical operation and protection against misuse
When the website loads or forms are used, hosting providers need to process technical information such as IP address, time, browser details and the requested address to deliver and secure the service. GitHub states that visits to GitHub Pages are logged with IP addresses for security purposes.
The form service uses a one-way code derived from an IP address and a salt value to limit automated submissions. Raw IP addresses are not stored in the form database as part of this control. Such a code is pseudonymised, not necessarily anonymous.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure operation, troubleshooting and protection against spam and misuse, under Article 6(1)(f).
Public resource and coworking directories
The directories use information from providers’ own websites and other public sources. They normally contain a business name, location, short description and link. Where information also identifies an individual, the purpose is to help visitors find relevant services. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing these directories, under Article 6(1)(f). Contact us if something is incorrect or you would like an entry reviewed.
3. How long do we keep information?
- Email subscriptions: Your subscription remains active until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Unsubscribing is recorded so the address is not used for further emails. Unsubscribing does not automatically delete your name, email address or consent record; you can ask us to delete them. Any continuing need to document consent or unsubscribing is assessed separately.
- Events: Event information may remain public as a past event after its date. Contact details are kept for as long as necessary for review and relevant follow-up. An event disappearing from the upcoming list does not mean its record is automatically deleted.
- Suggestions and offers: The submission and contact details are kept for as long as necessary for review and relevant follow-up. An offer disappears from the offers page after its expiry date, but the record is not automatically deleted. To have a suggestion, an offer or your contact details deleted, email hei@tronderskegrundere.no.
- Emails and expressions of interest: Information is kept for as long as needed to respond and follow up the conversation. If a collaboration develops, relevant correspondence may be needed for the duration of the collaboration and follow-up.
- Security data: Information is used for necessary operation, troubleshooting and protection against misuse. Hosting providers also retain data in line with their terms and security procedures.
We should not keep personal data longer than needed for its purpose. Where there is no fixed deadline, retention is assessed based on ongoing follow-up, documentation needs and any legal requirements. Contact us to ask what we hold about you or request deletion.
4. Who has access?
Access to submitted contact details and email subscriptions is limited to people who need it to administer the service and follow up enquiries. Information is not sold or shared with other members as a membership list.
- GitHub Pages: Publishing and delivery of static web pages. GitHub privacy statement ↗
- Cloudflare: Operation of the form service, event and offer directories, form database and protected administrator access. Cloudflare privacy policy ↗
- Google: Email sent to Ludviga AS’s contact address is processed through Google’s email service. Google privacy policy ↗
Approved events and offers are public and can be read by anyone. Contact fields in the submission forms are not part of these public directories. We may also need to disclose information to authorities where legally required.
Processing outside the EU/EEA
Our hosting providers operate internationally, and their processing may involve access or processing outside the EU/EEA. Storing a database in a particular region does not itself guarantee that all processing takes place in that region. Providers’ terms describe processing and any transfer mechanisms. Contact us for more information about providers and the transfer basis applicable to your information.
5. Cookies and external websites
This website does not use analytics tools, advertising pixels or tracking cookies. Fonts and the portrait load from the website’s own files. We do not embed Facebook posts or other social media on these pages.
When you follow a link to Facebook, an organiser, a shared workspace or another external provider, you visit their website. Their privacy policy and any cookies apply there. Registration, booking and payment with an external provider are handled by that provider.
The Facebook group is a separate service provided by Meta. Information you share in the group and Facebook’s processing are covered by Meta privacy policy ↗. You do not need to sign up for emails on this website to request group membership.
6. Your rights
Depending on the processing and the legal conditions, you may request:
- Access to your personal data and information about how it is used.
- Correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion or restriction of processing.
- To object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Data portability where processing is based on consent or contract and carried out automatically.
You can withdraw consent at any time. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing already carried out. Use the unsubscribe link in an email or contact us directly. These rights are not unconditional; we will explain if a request cannot be fully met.
Send your request to hei@tronderskegrundere.no. We respond without undue delay, normally within one month. If a lawful extension is needed, we will explain why. We may request necessary information to verify your identity before disclosing data.
You can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority ↗ if you believe your personal data is processed unlawfully.
7. Security and automated decisions
The website and form service use HTTPS. Administrator access to the form service is protected, and contact fields are separated from the information in the public interfaces for events and offers.
We do not use information from this website for profiling or automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you. Events, suggestions and offers are reviewed before publication. Automated rate limiting helps protect forms against misuse.
8. Changes and contact
This notice is updated when services or processing change. The date at the top shows when the text was last updated. We provide further information about significant changes where necessary.
